Portraits of Pride is the name of a creative project that will culminate in a photography book featuring portraits of people that identify as being diverse in their gender, sexuality, and/or their relationship preferences.
A lot of emphasis is put on differences between our communities; Portraits of Pride aims to highlight some of the aspects of living that are fundamentally human.
Inspired by the Flemish Renaissance, the images will capture daily life in all its intimate detail. Revealing what makes each person relatable, with hobbies, responsibilities, friends, and family, I hope to highlight the value in preserving the diversity that strengthens our communities.
Diversity encompasses everyone, and I think our commonalities might draw attention to that.
