About Me
I believe that practicing empathy almost always improves the outcome of any situation and portrait photography is no exception. If I can genuinely tune into what someone is feeling in the moment, whether that's nerves, excitement, or self-consciousness, I can capture the parts of them that actually feel true. That's the whole philosophy behind how I work.
Most people don't love being photographed, and I don't expect you to walk in feeling like a natural. My job is to meet you where you are, to notice what you need in the moment, whether that's more direction, more space, or just someone talking you through it, so what comes through in the final images is you, not a performance of you.
In 2024, I left a career in science and math to pursue photography full-time. It was a real shift, but the through-line was the same curiosity about people that drew me to portraiture in the first place. I carry real gratitude into every session — I wouldn't get to do this work without the people willing to sit in front of my camera and trust me with that moment.
